Plane in Flight | Daugherty Field, Long Beach, CA | 2007 I View Project in 3D here:

This project was designed and fabricated for the City of Long Beach, CA and U.S. Aero Corporation, Denver, CO. We chose two base materials: 1/4” stainless steel plate and 1/4” 200 series copper. The copper and stainless steel are full penetration welded in a union, allowing for the use of an actual airplane to sit atop the pedestal. The sculpture has two different looks, depending on whether one travels up or down Spring St. The copper is used on the west faces of the sculpture, and is only seen when traveling from West to East. When traveling in the opposite direction, the stainless steel is visible and the copper is hidden.

Expected response code 200, got 404 Error 404 (Not Found)!!1
